‘Sastrugi’, which is the Russian term for hardened snow drifts, makes reference to the typical polar landscape of Antarctica and perfectly summarises the dinner service by Belgian designer of the year 2007 Nedda El-Asmar, which she has designed in conjunction with celebrity chef Wout Bru. This is a service that is shaped and finished by nature. The rim of each piece is fluted slightly upwards, thus creating a highly unique set. This collection is the perfect addition to the South Pole service designed by Nedda for the Princess Elisabeth station, the Belgian scientific base on Antarctica.
