WOOD

Wood is a natural material that develops a strong patina over time, which we at Serax very much appreciate. Because the pattern of the grain differs with each piece of wood, no product will look exactly the same. This gives a wooden object a certain uniqueness.

The daily maintenance of wooden furniture consists of dusting with a soft microfibre cloth. Remove any stains with a damp cloth and mild, colourless soap. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents or abrasives, as they will damage the wood lacquer.

For wooden accessories, such as cutlery and boards, hand washing is recommended. Use a mild detergent or just water. Avoid immersing the wood completely and allow it to dry naturally, preferably upright, after washing. Please note that wood is not dishwasher-proof. To avoid discolouration and distortion, do not leave wooden objects in direct sunlight.

Oiled wooden objects, such as the cutting boards from the Pure collection, can be kept in top condition by giving them a new layer of oil from time to time. Use a simple, natural oil from the kitchen, such as olive oil or sunflower oil. This does not apply to varnish-coated products.
