MoMu has recently been able to boast having several new designs by Ann Demeulemeester. This time, they are not her fashion silhouettes, but her new furniture designs. These furniture pieces are distributed throughout the museum, including chairs, sofas, benches and tables in the exhibition galleries, and a custom three-part modular sofa made especially for the museum entrance hall.
Vincent Van Duysen (1962) is one of Belgium’s most acclaimed architects, interior designers, and product designers. His style builds on purism and a sophisticated use of materials. He describes it himselfs as ‘warm and sensorial’. Timeless designs, reduced to their very essence, away from trends. His collections do not clamour for attention, they stand out naturally for their simplicity and tranquillity.
Born in Antwerp (B), Anita Le Grelle is a celebrated sculptor and ceramist. Her Terres de Rêves tableware line for Serax, which is characterised by the unique glazes she developed herself, became a real bestseller. In the video, Anita Le Grelle speaks with passion in the midst of her favourite biotope: her Brussels studio.
