René Barba: “I grew up in Miami, a real ‘50s city, where – both indoors and out – you were always surrounded by rattan. A material that simply cries out for a retro look. I had wanted to do something with that for a long time, but not without combining it with modern comfort.” The Capizzi lounge chair consists of a harmonious mix of different materials. The white powder-coated, hard aluminium provides the chair with a solid base, whereas the finish in the softer rattan gives the chair the retro look that the designer was looking for. In turn, the thick, weather-resistant cushions, in white or mustard yellow, with or without white trim, ensure optimum seating comfort.
