RUR:AL tableware by Anita Le Grelle
With RUR:AL, ceramicist and sculptor Anita Le Grelle pays tribute to the great outdoors. RUR:AL refers to the rural, organic nature of the tableware, but it also carries the initials of its designer. In addition to the tableware, Le Grelle also created three vases within this collection. “The shape of the vases reminds me of that of tree trunks set in motion by nature. Never perfectly round, nor rectangular.” That same raw character can be found in the finish of the tableware, which was not glazed on the outside.
