Twenty-year-old Pepijn Tyvaert moved to the centre of Bruges about six years ago. That location prompted him to experiment with photography and from there he developed an interest in architecture. All this creativity was then channelled into an Interior Design course at the KASK in Ghent. The DISCUS clothes rack was the first design for which Tyvaert made a prototype. His teachers were the ones who encouraged him to take part in the design competition set by Serax and the Belgian magazine Weekend Knack. And it’s a good thing they did.
