Seppe Van Heusden
Dutch designer Seppe van Heusden intuitively creates objects that ascribe meaning to their space and context. Van Heusden graduated from Lund University School of Industrial Design (Sweden) in 2020, where he now works as a part-time lecturer. At the same time, he started as independent designer, with a focus on lighting, furniture and interior objects. In his work, van Heusden seeks to establish an architectural link with the aim of designing timeless objects. By working with contrasts, his designs acquire both subtlety and immediacy. Inspired by his experience with porcelain, he combines honest materials to create natural results. The start of the collaboration with Serax has set a strong tone, with more to come.
We cherish designers
Working with upcoming and renowned designers is built into Serax’ DNA. In 1990, the brand started a tentative collaboration with Peter Arts, which was quite revolutionary in the florist design industry. One year later, Serax achieved international fame, thanks to the collaboration with floral artist Daniel Ost, who designed ‘The Flower Booth’ for the French design fair Maison & Objet. The seed was planted. Since then, Serax has entered into dozens of partnerships that have resulted in renowned collections and success at an international level.
