Early in 2017, a very special restaurant in the bustling Amsterdam 'De Pijp' district opened its doors with an exquisite culinary premiere. A long line of epicureans could not wait to see, taste and experience The Avocado Show. And they definitely got their money’s worth. The Mexican fruit starred in every scene, enlivened by the Serax tableware collections Pure by Pascale Naessens and Terres de rêves by Anita Le Grelle.

The avocado is becoming more popular by the day in our regions. Where we once mostly knew the fruit to be a part of a delicious shrimp cocktail or the main ingredient of guacamole, it is now a colourful addition to our dishes more and more often. According to the owners of the world's first avocado restaurant, Ron Simpson and Julien Zaal, this is not much of a surprise, because not only is the fruit extremely tasty and utterly healthy, its colour and shape also offer a world of opportunities to make colourful works of art on a plate. Reason enough to be cast in the starring role at their new concept restaurant.

And looking at those culinary delicacies presented on the Pure and Terres de Rêves plates, it is hard to imagine they will not succeed in their mission. Take a look at www.theavocadoshow.com and see it with your own eyes. If you want to taste them, you will have to travel to Amsterdam, for now …
