Paola Navone: “I often use black and white in my designs. Universal colours that can lead you in any direction, classic or rather very modern. In addition, they accentuate the textures of the materials in a natural way.” In an elementary, yet unconventional way, Paola Navone merges Mediterranean influences with the tradition of Indonesian craftmanship in the Abaco chairs for Serax. For these four weatherproof chairs, the designer was inspired by the typical chairs of Italian bars from the 1960s-1970s, which would be moved indoors or outdoors depending on the season.The black or white powder-coated frame was traditionally stringed with PVC wiring in the same or contrasting colour. The Abaco chairs are not only comfortable and durable, they are also lightweight and stackable. They come in handy inside and around your home, but are also great for bars, restaurants and their terraces.
