Helena Rohner

The sculptural simplicity of a line, inherent to Helena Rohner’s jewellery, is a reflection of her bond with the landscape of her native Canaries. Helena’s collections, both timeless and contemporary, show a sensual attention to harmony and a love of colour and diverse materials. She uses not only gold and silver, but also porcelain, stone, textile and wood. Born into a Spanish-Swiss family, Helena’s home was filled with weaving and puppet-making. She discovered her calling at evening jewellery-making courses that ran parallel to her academic education in London, via Geneva and Florence. Her passion for materials leads her to extend her creativity beyond the jewellery world and into applying steel, ceramics, leather, wood, wax, weaving techniques, jute, etc. She has designed sculptural pieces for Georg Jensen, Ferm Living, Kahler and Cerabella. Among her latest projects are more textile collaborative designs for Dac Rugs, Gancedo, and Teixidors. Amongst other prizes, Helena has received the international Red Dot award and has been awarded in Spain the prestigious Fine Arts Gold Medal in 2015.
